I know you have heard it many times...drinking water is essential and good for you. It keeps you hydrated. But, did you know that water helps you lose weight as well? Wait...come again??? Yep, drinking water aids in weight loss. Here are 3 ways why you lose weight when you fill up your glass with H2O.

Water Helps Flush Waste

Your body is constantly getting rid of waste products that are created through the many chemical processes happening every day. When you don't drink enough water, you get dehydrated. When you are dehydrated, waste products build up in your body. These waste products affect the way your body works, the way you feel, and your mental sharpness. Waste products can show up on the scale as retained water and stool, bloating, and inflammation. Staying well hydrated is key to having a properly fueled body and a lower number on the scale.

Water Helps Curb Appetite

Water is a natural appetite suppressant. When you drink water, you fill up your stomach, signaling to the brain that you are not hungry. This will help control snacking and cravings for junk food.
