8 Guilt-Free Foods to Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth

Trying to watch what you eat, but have a big sweet tooth? Not to worry. You can have your cake, and eat it too! Here are 8 guilt-free foods that will satisfy your sweet tooth.

1. Chocolate covered Fruit

Think strawberries and bananas. This sweet treat is perfect to satisfy that nagging sweet tooth. Berries are a great superfood that pair nicely with the semi-sweet flavor of chocolate.

2. Fresh Fruit

Fruit is a great substitute to sugary sweets. Eat it fresh, or frozen for a little extra treat. Frozen grapes are always a favorite, and berries offer up a great amount of antioxidants.

3. Chocolate Milk

Chocolate milk is a great way to get a little something sweet in, while still getting a punch of protein. If you prefer to skip the fat, go for a low fat option. Bonus points: research has shown that chocolate milk is a great post-workout drink.

4. Frozen Yogurt

Have a craving for ice cream but don't want the added calories? Try frozen yogurt instead! Frozen yogurt has a very similar texture to soft serve ice cream, and comes in many different flavors! It's a great guilt-free frozen treat!

5. Smoothies

Who doesn't love smoothies? Smoothies are great to have in your daily meal plan. Why you ask? Because they are versatile and quick! Grab a smoothie for breakfast on the go, have one as a post workout drink, or have a smoothie as a snack. Smoothies are customizable to your taste, and can even be a great source of protein.

6. Casein Pudding

In my opinion, this is the ultimate guilt-free snack! Casein is a slow digesting protein that can easily be turned into a delicious treat! Just add water to get your desired consistency. For a little something extra, top it off with some fat free Cool Whip.

7. Dark Chocolate Almonds

The key here is DARK chocolate. Dark chocolate provides more antioxidants than milk chocolate, so therefore it is the preferred variety. Almonds are a great source of healthy fats, and in moderation, can make a great snack.

8. Sugar Free Jello

This may seem pretty simple, but jello can curb a sweet tooth with minimal calories...especially if it is sugar free. At about 5 calories per serving, you can indulge a little more with this sweet treat.
